One of my personal favorite types of design is soft goods. A couple of years ago I learned how to crochet, and now I’m taking on the challenge of learning to sew, starting with quilting.

Hoyo was a bit of a passion project for me, being able to combine two things I really enjoy, climbing and creating. I have been a rock climber for about 10 years or so and until that project I never really took a deep dive into the why things were they way they were in climbing shoes. I knew the basics of why certain styles were better for different routes, and that everyone has their preference. This deep dive really fed my love of the sport and its complexities.
